White clothing just screams summer to me and I just love the wonderful blank canvas it offers. You can do absolutely everything with it! Add color, no color……just do what you want with this very versatile shade. It looks very polished and sophisticated on its own, but adding a touch of silver or some other type of simple accessory is often just the tiny touch it needs.
When the thermometer hits the high 80’s and above, there is nothing more casually elegant than a flowy white dress or soft white top. It’s feminine and cooling, but good looking and pulled together without looking like you tried to hard.
Here I am wearing one of my favorite white pieces…..a white jean jacket from Gap. I’m wearing it with a laser cut sleeveless blouse from Banana Republic and a pair of Tom’s wedges in black. The sleeveless blouse is a great layering piece and the white one is shown later in this post.
I’m wearing the jean jacket this time with one of my favorite Leith sweaters from Nordstrom and a favorite Kendra Scott necklace. I always love silver with white.
A dainty white shirt for all of your summer needs.
I’ve been stocking up on these super comfortable BR t-shirts! The price is so right and the fit is so incredibly comfy!
Another white staple piece for your summer wardrobe. A laser cut sleeveless blouse from BR for those hot summer days. I have this one in black and love it!
A sweet cotton flutter sleeve top from BR for a great price. Aren’t those sailor shorts adorable?!
Loving this open shoulder white top from Anthropologie.
A slight detour from the white post but I love a pom pom and I’m slightly obsessed with these adorable and well priced sandals. How cute would these be with a pair of white jeans or shorts or a white dress. Just the perfect pop of color!
With off the shoulder being so incredibly popular this season here is a cute dress with pockets. This is from BR and is flowy and a bit sexy at the same time. Make sure to wear this adorable dress with a strapless bra or a pair of breast petals for a clean and sophisticated look.
A white linen shift dress from J Crew with some fun grommets. This looks perfect for just about anything, doesn’t it?!
A classic A line Vince dress with pockets. It comes in a variety of really fun colors if you want something other than white.
Loving the sleeve on this beautiful white dress from White House/Black Market.
This white crepe dress is from Nordstrom and is by Leith, which I’ve had luck with in the past for being a very comfortable line. And the price point is fantastic for the look.
If you want something more on the flirty and sexy side here is a cute dress that is perfect for your next date night our summer soiree. See below for a picture of the back side of this adorable skater dress. And it comes in black.
I’m in love with the back of this dress. Same dress as above, but here is the sexy back. It is only $48! You will definitely need some silicone breast petals for this dress.
Here are the great breast petals I was telling you about. Love these! I am small breasted so these work well for me. For larger breasts, you may need a strapless/backless bra for some extra support. I am not a breast expert here just giving you some options for undergarments.
All an white bathing suit. Very flattering with the deep V neck and the tie at the waist. I think this white suit would look super with a spray tan. Are you with me? Or no to white suits? It comes in a variety of other colors if you are not a white suit fan.
Do you like to wear a lot of white in the summer or is it just too plain for you?
Yay or nay?
We have a trip planned to the south later this summer and lightweight clothing in light shades will be the best choices to beat the intense humidity and heat.
We are heading back to one of our absolute favorite summer destinations, Sea Island, Georgia. I hate to give the secret away, but this is a fabulous place for families and we love it – and so do are teens! Before heading to Sea Island we will be stopping by Charleston for a second visit, because I just can’t get enough of that adorable place. Charm factor is a 10! We will be adding Palmetto Bluff to the itinerary for the first time and I can’t wait to see that adorable town and then to Savannah for another visit before going to Sea Island.
What are you up to this summer? Adding some new places to your itinerary or heading back to a favorite place?
